A Pieceful Renovation – Part 2

We left off with Jason creating the base for the cinderblocks. Rather than sit around and wait for the concrete to dry, he moved forward and began stripping off the old siding.

Before he knew it, it was time to climb back down in those ditches and test out is masonry skills laying the cinderblocks. Not too shabby if I say so myself.

If you look closely you will also notice rebar has been inserted throughout the wall. Jason then poured concrete around the vertical rebar to increase the solidity of the wall.

While that set, he went back to ripping and tearing. Between you and me, I think he actually may have enjoyed this part. After all, who doesn’t enjoy a little demolition???

Stay tuned….more renovation fun to come.
