A Pieceful Renovation: Part 3

Last night we took a break from all the building, painting, and working to head out and have an all you can eat crab leg dinner in celebration of Jason’s birthday that was on the 16th.

JBear and his cousin enjoyed the scenery more than the meal and spent the majority of the time looking out into the lake. It was too cute.

Alright, enough cutesy stuff and back to business.

Is it getting breezy in here? Oh yeah baby, we talking about windows and a lot of them. To keep with the pieceful feel of the shop, Mary Jo wanted a very open atmosphere and that meant adding 15 windows, allowing a clear view of the river behind the shop.

As the work progressed Jay realized that the roof wouldn’t match up with the house. No worries, in true-Jay-style he simply tour down the old roof and he got to work adding the new one.

He opted to hold off on the shingles until the weather got really hot and humid. 😉 So as the temperature reached 100+ with humidity, up went the ladders and he has now begun laying the shingles.

It is really amazing to me how he can look at something and just build it. As he works away, we’ll continue to take pictures and fill you in on the renovation so stay tuned.
