Memorial Day Parade

This past weekend was Memorial Day. The tradition in the small town where I live is a parade where everyone lines up on the main route to watch the village fire trucks roll by, the school marching band, and of course a collection of cute animals and John Deer tractors.

I was prepped with camera in hand and snapped some photo’s to share with all of you.

After the parade, everyone walks or drives to the village hall to salute those who served in the war. The morning’s events are wrapped up with the Volunteer Fire Departments “famous” chicken BBQ. We brought ours home and had a nice little picnic on our front porch as we people watched which is always a fun way to pass the time.

And of course, we just had to recreate another superhero. That’s right my friends, the superhero fun never ends at our household and I am loving every second of it. Drum roll please…..introducing our impromptu version of Hawkeye (/Superman).

So what did you guys do this weekend? Did you attend any parades or enjoy mouth-watering chicken BBQ’s?
