Wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Easter!!!
As we buy and fill plastic Easter eggs and dye hard-boiled eggs a plethora of colours, how many of you think “what will I do with these when Easter has come and gone?”.
Last year, my hubby wanted to just toss the plastic Easter eggs but I (being a penny-pincher) packed the easter eggs away in a zip lock bag to reuse this year. Not a bad idea. But there are so many more ideas out there to create multi-coloured toys or trinkets.
With the flash of a sharpie, you can turn these into a cute little learning game as I described in this post.
They are great for storing little snacks for trips. Or let your little one’s imagination run wild and transform these into anything from animals, to insects, to snakes. Who am I kidding, I would LOVE to play with these myself.
Amazingly enough, these babies can even be transformed into cute creations that you can have in your home all year round, such as this pretty candle holder.
How about decoupage or wrapping them in your favorite fabric. I think these would look so cute sitting on the kitchen counter.
Change their colour all together and use them as placecard holders or pair these with a cute stack of notes and leave a message for your loved one such as “I love you” or “Have a great day”.
There are so many great ideas out there to suit everyone so don’t let these babies go to waste. And don’t forget to share with us what you plan on doing with your left over Easter eggs (plastic or hard-boiled). 🙂
That’s right it is finally Wednesday (a.k.a hump day) and you all know what that means….hump day humor.
Before we get to that, I wanted to give you a quick update on my Jello Easter eggs….they didn’t quite make it. I was planning on using the little plastic eggs as a mold.
As you can see they have holes on the top and bottom of the egg. This made things a little more difficult. I tried everything I could think of however the end result was always the same…the jello just kept pouring out. 😦 So although I took a ton of pictures, that post would amount to a tutorial on how to boil water and make jello…..not real inspiring stuff.
And yet as I write this, I am struck with an idea that is pure genius. So as I put my plan in action, please enjoy these hump day funnies.
These are the best protest signs – LOL!
And I will sign off with this frustrating little tidbit….
Just try it, it’ll drive you nuts! HAPPY HUMP DAY!!!!!
