Just a few more days and it’s Halloween. The house is decorated, costumes are hanging in the closet, candy is patiently waiting for little ones to knock on the door and yell ‘TRICK or TREAT’; there is not much more to do but wait for the big day. And then it hits me….create a new tradition; Halloween breakfast. So I scoured Pinterest in hopes of finding the perfect Halloween breakfast.
This is cute but not very healthy. Let’s keep looking and see what alternatives we find.
Boiled egg eyeballs…..this is pretty cool but to be honest I am not sure I could eat these because they would feel too much like an eyeball. LOL.
This looks so yummy, using a strawberry jam or something like that for the blooooood.
I was also thinking of blending up some spinach and mixing it in with scrambled eggs so they would turn green. Then you could put ketchup on them (my kiddo loves ketchup on his scrambled eggs) or salsa and there you have it…frankenstein eggs with a side of blllooood.
Or you can cut out different shapes (ghost, witches hat, etc,) in slices of bread and make french toast (or pane carrozza as my mom and dad call it). You can also cut out these shapes and make sppooky little sandwiches for the kiddos lunch. Okay, so it may seem a little corny but I love it!!! Why not keep the fun going? 😉
Just when I think the fun and excitement of Halloween is drawing to an end, I see these. Yep, I am stoked!!! Can’t wait to make these for my little man…..and myself if I am going to be totally honest. 😉
Oh and I tried yet another vlog. It’s funny the looks you get when you walk down the street or in a store and you are vlogging. Oh well, I am doing it for your viewing enjoyment so it’s all worth it. 🙂
Time flies by and often we take each day for granted. I am doing my best to remind myself that every day and eveyr season is a gift, and that we should really enjoy each to their fullest.
I will admit, of all the seasons, this is the one I liked the least; the only thing that made it somewhat tolerable was Halloween. Then I found these, and now, it is growing on me. 🙂
These images give me the warm and fuzzies. I forgot how much fun Fall can be.
What do I love about Fall? First and foremost I would say Halloween. Next in line would be the apple picking, pumpkin carving, warm apple cider or tall cups of hot chocolate, snuggling on chilly nights, watching the leaves turn from green, to red, to orange, candy apples, and so much more.
So what do you love about Fall?
I am so stoked for Halloween. Some years I like to go cutsie with big eyed ghosts and cute little pumpkins but this year I just want indulge in the spooky side of Halloween. I love scary and spooky but am not into grotesque. This scares the crap out of me.
More often than not, my imagination runs wild. So the first thing I think of when I see something like the decoration below is…”wouldn’t it be scary if you saw this and then it blinked. Or you looked away and when you looked back it was right up close to you” AHHHH that will get the hairs on the back of your neck standing straight up.
Seriously, I am my own worst enemy when it comes to this kind of stuff.
True story….I used to commute to Virginia (5 hours away) once a month for work. This meant getting up at 2 or 3 a.m. and heading out the door when it was pitch black outside…okay maybe not that dark but to me it was. As I began my commute, my co-pilot was my over active imagination…yeah it was going to be a fun drive. It also didn’t help that we had watch The Grudge the night before.
So I did what any mature adult would do, I click on the dome light in my car and turned the rear view mirror away from me because I was afraid to look at it and have that Grudge girl looking back at me. Seriously…l drove 5 hours with the dome light on and singing as loudly as possible because I was terrified. LOL!
Here is another thing that would scare the poop out of me.
Something standing in the corner just staring at you….I would be waiting for it to lunge, or move, or something. AHHH I’m SCERD!
Okay….one more to get the heart pumping……
Ahhhh!!! That is horrifying! Okay that’s it for now!!! LOL I get scared so easily and yet I love horror movies, going to haunted houses etc. What can I say, I’m an enigma.
Let’s start our countdown to Halloween by sharing some sppooookkky ghost stories. What scares you? Do you believe in ghosts/paranormal? Have you had any “experiences”?
