Time flies by and often we take each day for granted. I am doing my best to remind myself that every day and eveyr season is a gift, and that we should really enjoy each to their fullest.
I will admit, of all the seasons, this is the one I liked the least; the only thing that made it somewhat tolerable was Halloween. Then I found these, and now, it is growing on me. 🙂
These images give me the warm and fuzzies. I forgot how much fun Fall can be.
What do I love about Fall? First and foremost I would say Halloween. Next in line would be the apple picking, pumpkin carving, warm apple cider or tall cups of hot chocolate, snuggling on chilly nights, watching the leaves turn from green, to red, to orange, candy apples, and so much more.
So what do you love about Fall?
The weather is BEAUTIFUL out and that means trees and flowers are starting to bloom. My mind is now reeling with all the outdoor beautification that I want to do; this is quite evident if you look at my outdoors page on Pinterest.
I’m thinking lots of beautiful purples to bring out the green siding. The one picture that I can’t seem to get out of my head is this lavender lined path….isn’t it stunning.
And since I am all about adding beauty at minimal cost, that means a lot of DIY projects – YEAH! This cute bird feeder is a delicate and easy add that I must try.
Along with all this beauty comes a part I absolutely hate: mosquitos – BOOOO!
I don’t know about you guys and gals but those nasty little buggers eat me alive. I swear, it’s like I can almost hear them yell “SWARM!!!!” and next thing I am hauling butt up the steps to seek shelter.
According to the article below, there are several different kinds of plant that repels mosquitos; lavender being one of them. Yet another good reason to add these beauties to our flower beds.
One last potential DIY project then I’ll stop dreaming about outdoor happenings (for now).
I just love this! It is so romantic looking and I can already picture myself sitting out on the front porch, sipping on a glass of wine and enjoying good conversation with my hunny.
Do you have any outdoor musings that you find yourself day dreaming about as of late?
This weekend I went north (to Canada) to help my mom. It was absolutely beautiful. Everything was a rich green, trees were in bloom and the new born baby goat was so cute I just had to share.
Of course, the weekend can’t officially start without some superhero fun. So we began the morning with some face-paint here is our impromptu version of Two Faced.
Now back to the cute baby goat. She was adorable and so soft. My mom let little JBear have the honors of naming her, and with much thought and deliberation she earned the name Lucky Charms.
She was so precious, my little sister couldn’t help but get in the mix and pick up Lucky.
Next we checked out the rabbits and each of them earned a superhero name courtesy of JBear. This is Thor and Batman.
Then we ran into Baby Girl and to our surprise, it looked like she was expecting a litter herself.
All in all it was a great weekend. Hope yours was as well. See you all tomorrow for some motivation on a Monday.
